Green with Envy Salon & Spa promises to create a different experience than other salons. Our goal is to treat each of our guests  to the most healthy salon experience possible with highly educated stylists in a rejuvenating, beautiful  atmosphere . We are an Aveda Concept Salon and are continually attending classes to affirm our expertise. It is our job to educate and not demean people, we strive to listen and give advice, to teach and create comfort.  Salon guests should feel as though they have been well educated about their hair, skin and nails and have a  better  understanding about product choices as an investment in their health and beauty.  The stylists at Green with Envy Salon & Spa are down to earth, mothers, sisters and friends; we share the common goal of making people feel and look great without compromising health. After 10 years in the beauty industry, salon owner Marlene Cohn feels that this goal has been accomplished in creating this environment within Green with Envy Salon & Spa. We are always  excited for each new client that enters the salon and welcome old friends. With every visit we hope they all leave knowing how much we care.

Marlene Cohn started Green with Envy Salon in 2011 with the hopes of creating a clean, organic salon environment. With more than 10 years of experience in different salons, she knew that there were better, healthier ways to approach cosmetology. She has attended countless classes nationwide in an attempt to learn about the best products and modern developments in the industry.  With our ever-changing world, it is important to make education a top priority. Marlene teamed up with Aveda to create a Concept salon. It was an easy decision, because the vision of both companies fell so perfectly in line. As a stylist, Marlene keeps up with not only the newest trends in hair, but also in eco-conscious salon practices. Her approach to life is emulated in the salon as well.  Treat people as you would like to be treated, maybe even better. This rings true for salon guests and employees. Green with Envy Salon is only as good as its stylists, nail techs, skincare specialist and massage therapists,  so investing in them is incredibly important. Monthly education, as well as flexibility and the most competitive wage structure in the area create a nurturing environment for a fantastic salon team.

Marlene is a married mother of four who grew up in southern New Hampshire and moved to the Camden area in 2007. She is a graduate of Empire Beauty School in Somersworth, NH and was manager of a JCPenney Salon before relocating. Balancing a fantastic career and fulfilling home life is a welcomed challenge for a girl who wrote this little poem at 10 yrs old: “Believe in yourself and not in the lie that you can’t achieve what you wish… you have only ONE chance to show the world what you’ve got, so let’s see what you can accomplish!”
